How to use this directory

General
To start searching straight away click one of the coloured menu items above.
If you know the area you wish to search within the click on subject and find a subject to match.
Alternatively if you know the Organisation and need more details then click on Organisations and select it from the A-Z list on the left hand side.
Maps will allow you to search for Organisations in relation to any postcode you enter, remember that the directory is on a local level so you will get more accurate results from a local postcode.

SubjectSearch Panel
By using subject search you will find Organisations & Services related to your subject, simply click on a category (if present) on the left to view the related subjects, then click on a subject to view results. If categories aren’t present then simply click on a subject. The number next to each subject represents the number of Organisations & Services relating to that subject. For more filter options click on the ‘Refine Your Search’ tab.

Hide Category Names
If Categories are present ticking this box will give you an A to Z listing of all the subjects.
Add related subjects to your search
By ticking this box you will be able add more than one subject enabling you to find exactly what you want.
If you wish to remove a subject, postcode or free text simply click the red delete icon
next to it in the ‘Filtered by’ list at the top of the central column.

Refine Your Search
Here you will be able to further refine your search, use the form provided and click the update button to view results.
Region
By default all regions are checked to filter by region un-tick the desired boxes and click the update button.
Postcode
Allows you to view organisations and services in relation to any postcode.
Free Text Search
If you can't find a subject in the subjects list, try typing it here to see if there are any related results.

Subject Definitions Panel
As you click on a subject the subject Definitions Panel will appear on the right hand side. Within this panel you will see definitions to the subjects used. When you view an Organisation the panel will populate all the subjects related to that organisation
Related Panels
If there is any other information related to the subjects you choose it will appear in these panels, these can be Factsheets, Pamphlets and Information Sheets or FAQs.

List style
You have three choices of list style to choose from, they all give details of the organisations being listed.
Compact
The default is compact, this will give you the basic viewing options usually including at least the name of the organisation and telephone number.
Descriptive
This option will have all of the details of comopact but also including the first few hundred characters of the descriptive text for that organisation
Map
Maps are similar to the Maps tab on the main menu. You will be able to view the organisations by location on a map.

Manage search filters
As you click on subject or type in your post code or enter text in the free text search it will appear at the top of the of the listings page with the red delete icon
next to it. If you are in the Add related subject mode, you will see multiple subjects.
If you wish to remove a subject, postcode or free text simply click the red delete icon
next to it in the ‘Filtered by’ list at the top of the central column.
